Day 5 - Euro Disney

Madonna what a day. It's past midnight right now and I'm blogging with one eye open.

It took the kids quite a while to warm up at Disneyland today (aka - stop shitting themselves over the 'scary' rides) and by 5pm we were firing on all cylinders. They had a ball, and in the end even the big kids did too!

We couldn't be bothered waiting to get our photo with Mickey, so this is as good as it gets.

The Disney Castle

This was the first thing we went on- a Paddle Steamer and Nic & Liv just about had a nervous breakdown until it got going.

We waited in line for over an hour to go on a roller coaster train, of which we had to endure 60 mintes f Nicholas just about crying because he was BUSTING to go to the toilet (yes a family trait when we are nervous). So, we finally get to the start of the line, we're the next to board the train and they tell everyone we have to leave because the ride has broken down. Lest I tell you we were not overly impressed.... until we went out and saw the train load of people stuck in the carriages on the ride. Wasn't  great start to the day and probably set us off on the wrong foot.

Hence the forced smiles all around...

Couldn't stop thinking of the Camera girls all the way through Alice's wonderland.

We're starting to really enjoy ourselves now...

The Buss Light Year ride was SO COOL we had to do it twice!!

How embarrassing, I look like I'm having more fun than Nic...

The Star Wars Simulator ride was pretty good although Olivia & I felt a little queasy after it...

Wall-E ..... have you noticed the purchases along the way???

Coming home on the RER 12 hours after we left the apartment this morning, feeling like we did well.

Had another spectacular dinner in Paris near Place de Vosage. The kids had the best ever Toasted Ham & Cheese sandwich (Croc Monsieur), I had Lemon Risotto with Scallops and Ben had Duck Confit.

Tre Bien

Oh - Quote of the Day:

After teasing Nic while we were in line for the Buzz Light Year ride (1st round) because he was being such a scaredy cat, an announcement came over the speakers asking parents to supervise their children while getting on and off the ride. Nic pipes up with "See, you're meant to Supervise us, not Scare-ervise us"

I'll see if I can link in some You Tube footage tomorrow morning and you'll see how stressed he was (and how much of a terrible mother I am teasing him)

Good Night
