Day 18 - Genoa Aquarium - MSC Splendida

We strolled down tot he marina this morning to pay a visit to Europe's biggest aquarium. The line was fairly long which gave the Morachini plenty of opportunity to heckle the ever so patient patrons, how many times did we hear "Oh come on Mum its only one Euro!" OMG, I was going to strangle him!
THe kids sporting their new eye ware Nic in a pair of so called "original" RayBan's down on the docks of Genoa
This is Neptune's boat if your Italian or Posiden's (The real one) if your Greek
A lovely view of the city from the harbour

The aquarium was pretty cool, we were very impressed with the Saw Fish Sharks, the Dolphins, the Penguins and the Seals. They were very cool and really played up to the crowd. The kids were desperate for a Sting Ray to let them touch it in the touch pool, but those little critters know exactly how close to come and still be out of reach from a humans touch.
So close but so far away the Rays would stay out of arms reach

SawTooth Shark pretty cool i have to say a real hit with all the kids I think they think it's tough because it wears it's teeth on the outside.
This ones for you Nonna the kids made me do it
Nice set of knockers love

Another little street in Genoa
We then got ourselves back to the Hotel to pick up our luggage and got check in to our next cruise :(

From the minute we boarded, I could tell this was going to be a different experience. We spotted a giant water slide for the kids - boy did that get them going! We were escorted to our room (last time we had to fumble through floors to find our way to our room) I don't know, I think the ceilings are a little higher - it's something, I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something that is different about this ship, apart from the obvious decor etc. it's less claustrophobic.
Liv took a whole series of Nic breakdancing this is one of 30

We went to the theatre tonight to see the ventriloquist again and the kids cacked themselves once again. The kids are already nagging us about when they can go swimming and when we can play bowling and can we watch the 4D movie.... argh... it never ends
It was still funny the second time
Naploi and Pompei tomorrow. We've decided we're not going to do any of the excursions this time. They cost a small fortune and are to restrictive. We're going to do the private Taxi tour thing. I'll let you know how that turns out.... Napolatane are renowned for being rip off merchants - we'll see!
